Electrical Engineer. Landsbyggð. Islandia

As a Process Engineer (m/f/d) at TDK Foil Iceland, you will play a critical role in enhancing our manufacturing processes through innovation, optimization, and efficiency improvements. You will be responsible for analyzing current operations, designing and testing process upgrades, and implementing new procedures that lead to cost reduction, quality improvement, and increased productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze and evaluate existing manufacturing processes to identify inefficiencies, waste, and areas for improvement.

Design, test, and implement new processes, equipment, and systems to improve production efficiency, quality, and throughput.

Work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Operations to develop and execute project plans for process upgrades.

Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to drive operational excellence.

Monitor and analyze process performance; make adjustments and recommendations based on data-driven analysis.

Ensure all process changes comply with industry standards and environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Provide technical support and training to production staff on new processes and equipment.

Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in process engineering.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment.

Proven record of success in project work, demonstrating the ability to lead projects from conception to completion.

Hands-on experience with process simulation software and proficiency in CAD tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to overcoming challenges.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively with teams across different departments.
