About us:

Arctic Empire is a well organized fishing and hunting outfitter in Iceland aiming to give their clients the best service possible when visiting one of our well picked destinations. We have years of fishing and hunting experience all over the world and we operate two excellent fishing lodges in Iceland.

Arctic Empire is looking for Lodge managers in the salmon fishing lodge in Norðurá river and Midfjarðará river from 1.June - 25th September 2024. Norðurá is approx. 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Reykjavík, the capital city of Iceland and Miðfjarðará is a two hours drive from Reykjavik.

Job description:

- The job requires being a host or hostess and welcoming our guests to our two lodges.

- The main job is greeting our custumers, escorting them to their rooms at arrival.

- Being in the front line, as the lodge manager role is the person that our customers will be looking to while they stay with us.

- At all times, serve our guests with dining and beverages whenever they require. Providing accurate wait times and serve them to lunch and dinner.

- Make sure that guests will enjoy a pleasant stay the whole time which is usually around 3-4 days.

- The person also has to be able to assist in the kitchen and in service both for breakfast and dinner.

- Assist with making beds and take responsibility at the bar, for lunch and in the evening.

- On the customer‘s departure day, make sure to greet guests and arrange their transfer on time within our time schedule.

- Departure days of guests are often welcome days for new guests so it is essential that the lodge manager has great organisation skills and abilities to work fast in a narrow time frame.

We are looking for a team player that can work with our great staff and be able to jump into whatever that needs to be done. It sure does require great leadership and being rich in hospitality. We are searching for four positions as lodge manager. Two employees in Miðfjarðará Lodge and two employees in Norðurá lodge. The working hours variate between weeks as we are working on three different shifts, breakfast, morning and evening shifts.

The criteria for the Lodge manager job is as follows:

-    Have to speak English fluently. French and Spanish language skills are preferable.

-    Have to have at minimum 6 years experience in a fishing lodge in Iceland or other lodging fishing destinations.

-    Is at least 35 years old.

-    Have to have an enormous interest in fishing and hospitality.
