Applications are invited for the position of Communications Officer with The Iveagh Trust in our Dublin Headquarters.

The Communications Officer in The Iveagh Trust is responsible for supporting the development and delivery of The Iveagh Trust’s communications strategy.

The successful applicant will ideally come from a media, graphic design, journalism background with experience in a regulated entity and knowledge of the social housing sector in Ireland.

We’re looking for an external communications and engagement specialist who has a flair for producing creative content and is excited to develop their career in a highly regarded not-for-profit organisation.

Key Competencies & Skills

•    Excellent communicator

•    High level of digital literacy

•    Proficiency in content creation tools such as Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite - InDesign,  Illustrator Photoshop, Audition, Premier Pro, Canva, HubSpot, WordPress, Moodle

•    Capability to confidently build and develop positive working relationships both within and outside the organisation.

•    Fluent English language skills both spoken and written

Qualifications & Experience

Essential

•    Minimum Bachelor's degree in journalism or communications.

•    A background in communications, animations, or media relations

•    Relevant experience in a regulated entity

•    Experience in the not-for-profit sector

•    Understanding of social media.

•    Ability to deal effectively with competing demands with a strong attention to detail.

•    Proven ability to handle challenging situations.

•    Commitment to the organisation’s mission, ethos and values.

Job Details:

Work Location: The Iveagh Trust, Head Office, Bull Alley Street, Dublin 8

Working Hours: 33 hours a week

Salary: €34,000 per annum
