CARTERS CHILDCARE LIMITED T/A SAINTS AND SCHOLARS is recruiting Early Childhood Educators for our creche located at Unit 4, Airport Business Park, Airport Road, Killaspugbrone, Strandhill, Co. Sligo.

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a professionally run Creche and Montessori, offering the highest standards of child care in a friendly and welcoming environment. As an Early Childhood Educator with us your duties will include, but not be limited to, the following;

- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities to promote language, cognitive, social and physical development of the children.

- Create a safe and nurturing environment that fosters exploration, creativity, and independent thinking.

- Observe, record and assess individual children's progress and adapt instructional strategies to meet their specific needs.

- Collaborate with fellow staff members, parents, and caregivers to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.

- Ensure a safe, secure and healthy environment for the care, safety and welfare of the children

- Provide for the holistic needs of the children

- Promote and help maintain an organised, clean, safe, and well equipped learning environment

- Follow established policies and procedures, creating an environment of best practice.

QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS REQUIREMENT

- A relevant Childcare or Early Years qualification, minimum QQI Level 5 or equivalent (e.g. Certificate/ Diploma/ Degree in Childcare, Basic/Primary Education, Early Years Education, etc.)

- Minimum 1 year’s practical experience in a childcare setting

- Sincere and genuine love of children

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

- A desire to learn progressively throughout your career

- First Aid, Manual Handling and Food Safety training is an advantage
