The  Tool and Material Department Assistant is responsible for:

- Central point of contact for maintenance planning and production for material/tool provisioning

- Ensuring the availability of serviceable and appropriate tools & equipment

- Performing necessary preventive maintenance and repairs on simple tools and equipment

- Central point of contact for all logistics issues concerning collection/evaluation of sale/loan/transportation offers

- Initiating and monitoring of the provisioning process

- Assuring the flow of information regarding material supply to the maintenance planning and production

- Preparation and follow-up of maintenance events from a material and tool perspective

- Support of production planning for the evaluation of customer requests

- Clarification of unclear or non-feasible provisioning deadlines

- Participation in the regular production meetings

- Quality check of material, tools and related documents

- Storage of material/tools, order picking, packing and shipping

- Availability to support Storage and Team members

Ihr Profil:

The ideal  Tool and Material Department Assistant should meet the following requirements:

- High school certificate required

- Excellent written and spoken English language skills required

- Good technical knowledge of and experience with a variety of technologies, including AMOS Swiss Software, SAP, Microsoft Office, cloud-based storage systems, Windows OS, MS Office suites, Citrix

- Familiarity of heavy machinery and tools

- Ability to effectively negotiate

- Keen attention to quality and detail

- Strong service and customer orientation

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Collaborative and cooperative

- Experience or vocational skills with various tools and machines

*Must possess a legal work permit in Italy

Lufthansa Technik Milan current capability includes Airbus A320 Family, A330, 737NG, 777, 787 and A350. Since September 2010 Lufthansa Technik Milan is approved for A-Checks on A330 and Base Maintenance on A320 Family enabling it to carry out more extensive maintenance work at the Malpensa base like for example engine and APU changes, structural repairs, complex modification, engine washes, air turbine tests, borescope inspections and full engine run-ups amongst other services.
